How to get booked on Nattive.

Get booked, get paid, on your own schedule. Here's exactly what gets you booked, shown with real examples.

Start earning

Most of your bookings come down to three things. Get these right and you're ahead of nearly everyone.

Step 1

Pick a photo that gets the tap

Your photo is the first thing a learner sees. A real, clear photo of your face gets booked.

Step 2

Record a short intro video

This is the one thing that gets you booked the most. Thirty seconds is plenty.

A real intro from a Nattive. Press play.

Do

  • Keep it to 30 to 60 seconds
  • Say hi, your name and where you're from
  • Good light and a quiet room
  • Talk like you're meeting a friend
  • Watch it back before you save

Avoid

  • Don't read from a script
  • Don't film in the dark
  • Don't run over a minute
  • Don't aim for perfect

Step 3

Write a friendly bio and set your rate

A couple of lines and a fair price. You can change both whenever you like.

A good bio reads like this

Hi, I'm Sam from Leeds. I'm into football, travelling and a good chat about almost anything. Come and practise your English with me.
  • Keep it short and warm, two or three lines
  • Say what you love to talk about, football, films, travel, anything
  • Start your rate a little lower to win your first reviews, then put it up

Step 4

Set your weekly hours

Add the times you're free. Learners book a slot, you confirm, and you both turn up.

  1. 1

    Open My Availability

Go to your profile, then tap My Availability.

  2. 2

    Add your hours

Pick the days and times you can chat each week.

  3. 3

    Block time off

Away for a bit? Switch off the days you're not free.

  4. 4

    Save

Done. Learners can now book you in those slots.

Where the money is

Catch the calls that just happen

Most chats happen on the spot. A learner wants to talk now, sees you're online, and calls you, the same way you'd open an app and book an Uber. So come online and leave a Nattive tab open while you get on with your day. When someone calls, you're one tap from earning. The more you're online, the more you get booked. Step away, pause earning, and the calls stop.

The Coffee Lounge

Offer to help a learner with a specific request.

Learners post what they want to chat about and when. Browse the requests, and offer your time on the ones that suit you. If they pick you, you both turn up.

  • See exactly what they want to talk about
  • Offer the times that work for you
  • They choose you, and you are booked
