Privacy Policy

Last updated: 23 September 2026 · Version 1.0

This policy explains what personal data Nattive collects, why we collect it, who we share it with and the rights you have over it. It applies to everyone who uses Nattive: learners and teachers.

1. Who we are

Nattive is operated by Fasttrack Pumps Limited (trading as Nattive), a company registered in England and Wales under company number 16294467. Our registered office is Kinetic Business Centre, Theobald Street, Borehamwood, Herts, England, WD6 4PJ.

We are the controller of the personal data described in this policy. This policy forms part of our Terms of Service. If you have a question about it or about your data, email privacy@nattive.app.

2. The data we collect

  • Account details: your name, email address, password (stored scrambled, so we cannot read it), whether you learn or teach, and the country and time zone on your profile. If you sign in with Google, Google tells us your name and email address.
  • Your profile: your photo, bio, the languages you learn or teach and your level. If you teach, also your intro video, your rate, the lessons you offer and your availability.
  • Qualification certificates: if you apply to teach, the copy of your teaching certificate or degree that you upload.
  • Application checks: when you submit an application to teach, your IP address, the country that IP address points to and the time zone your browser reports. Our Identity and Verification Policy explains how we use them.
  • Policy acceptances: which version of each policy you accepted, when, and the IP address you accepted it from.
  • Lessons and bookings: who booked whom, when, the price, cancellations, whether a lesson went ahead, ratings and reviews, and any problem you report.
  • Video lessons: lessons and Classroom classes run on video through Daily. Your video and audio pass through Daily in real time so the other people in the call can see and hear you. We do not record lessons, and nor does Daily for us.
  • Messages: messages in your Nattive inbox between you and our team, support requests and emails you send us, and the reason you give if you delete your account.
  • Payments and identity checks: Stripe, our banking partner, collects your card details when you pay, and your identity and bank details if you teach. We never see your full card number or copies of your identity documents. Stripe tells us whether a payment worked and whether your checks passed, including the country Stripe confirmed.
  • The Classroom: we use the country on your profile to decide whether you get the Classroom. If you do, we also keep the classes you join and the days and times you prefer.
  • Notifications: if you turn on push notifications, the address your browser gives us to send them to, and your email and notification settings.
  • Device and usage data: your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you visit and how you use them. Microsoft Clarity and the Meta Pixel collect some of this through cookies. Our Cookie Policy lists them.

4. What other people on Nattive can see

  • If you teach: your name, photo, bio, languages, intro video, rate, availability, ratings and reviews are shown to learners. Your photo and profile may also be shown to people who have not signed in.
  • If you learn: the teacher you book sees your first name, your photo if you added one, the lesson you booked and anything you choose to share with them. A review you leave shows on the teacher’s profile with your first name and country.
  • In a lesson or class: the other people in the call see your name, and your video and audio while you have them on.

5. Who we share your data with

We use these companies to run Nattive. They handle your data only on our instructions and to provide their service to us:

ServiceWhat it does for us

VercelHosts the Nattive app and runs our servers.
StripeOur banking partner. Takes card payments, runs identity and bank checks on teachers and pays them.

We may also share your data:

  • with Google, if you choose to sign in with Google;
  • with your browser’s push service (for example Apple, Google or Mozilla), if you turn on push notifications, so it can deliver them;
  • with HM Revenue & Customs or another tax authority, where the law requires us to report what teachers earn;
  • with the police, a court or a regulator, where the law requires it or to protect someone from harm; and
  • with a buyer of our business, if Nattive is ever sold, under the same protections.

We do not sell your personal data.

6. International transfers

Some of the companies we use are based in, or store data in, countries outside the UK, including the United States. When your data leaves the UK, we make sure it is protected: the country has a UK adequacy decision (such as the UK-US data bridge), or we use the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or the UK Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses. Email privacy@nattive.app if you would like details of the safeguards for a particular service.

7. How long we keep your data

  • Your account and profile: while your account is open. When you delete your account, we delete your profile, photo and intro video.
  • Qualification certificates: for as long as we need them to review your application and keep the qualification record on your account, so we can re-check it if a concern is raised. You can ask us to delete your certificate at any time by emailing privacy@nattive.app.
  • Application checks: kept with your application while your account is open.
  • Booking, payment and payout records: six years from the end of the financial year they relate to, because UK tax law requires it. Stripe keeps its own records under its own legal duties.
  • Messages and support requests: two years after your query is resolved, or until you delete your account if that comes first.
  • The reason you give for deleting your account: kept without your name. We keep your email address with it only if you ask us to contact you.
  • The teacher waiting list: until we can pay teachers in your country, or until you ask us to remove you.
  • Usage data: Microsoft Clarity keeps it for up to 13 months, and Meta under its own policies. Our Cookie Policy gives the cookie durations.

8. Your rights

Under UK data protection law, you have the right to:

  • Access: ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
  • Rectification: ask us to correct data that is wrong or incomplete. You can change most of your details yourself in your settings.
  • Erasure: ask us to delete your data. You can delete your account yourself in your settings, once any lesson you have booked and any payout owed to you is settled.
  • Restriction: ask us to pause using your data while a concern is sorted out.
  • Portability: get the data you gave us in a common, machine-readable format.
  • Objection: object to us using your data on the basis of legitimate interest, including for analytics and ad measurement.
  • Withdraw consent: where we rely on your consent, withdraw it at any time. This does not affect what we did before.

To use any of these rights, email privacy@nattive.app. We will reply within one month. We may ask you to confirm who you are first.

9. Decisions about you

We do not make decisions about you using only automated means. The location check on an application only flags it for a person on our team to look at. It never rejects an application or changes your account on its own.

10. Cookies

We use cookies and browser storage to keep you signed in, to remember your choices and, for analytics and ads, through Microsoft Clarity and the Meta Pixel. Our Cookie Policy lists each one, what it does and how to control it.

11. Age

Nattive is for people aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If you think we have, email privacy@nattive.app and we will delete it.

12. Keeping your data safe

We protect your data with encryption in transit, access controls that limit each person to their own data, private storage for qualification certificates, and strict limits on which of our staff can see what. No system is perfectly secure. If a breach puts your rights at risk, we will tell you and the Information Commissioner’s Office as the law requires.

13. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. The version number and date at the top of this page show which version is in force. If we make a material change, we will tell you by email or in the app before it applies.

14. Complaints and contact

For any question about your data, or to use your rights, email privacy@nattive.app, or write to Fasttrack Pumps Limited (trading as Nattive), Kinetic Business Centre, Theobald Street, Borehamwood, Herts, England, WD6 4PJ.

If you are not happy with how we have handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO), the UK data protection regulator. We would appreciate the chance to put things right first, so please contact us before you go to the ICO.
