Marketplace Terms of Service

Last updated: 10 June 2026 · Version 1.0

1. About these terms

Nattive is operated by Fasttrack Pumps Limited (trading as Nattive), registered in England and Wales, company number 16294467, registered office Kinetic Business Centre, Theobald Street, Borehamwood, Herts, England, WD6 4PJ. References to “Nattive”, “we” or “us” mean Fasttrack Pumps Limited.

Nattive operates an online marketplace that connects English learners with native English speakers for paid, on-demand conversation practice. These terms are a legal agreement between you and us. By creating an account or using Nattive, you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use Nattive.

2. Who can use Nattive

You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter a binding contract. By using Nattive you confirm that you are.

3. Native speakers

To offer conversation practice as a speaker, you must be a native English speaker — someone who has spoken English since birth or early childhood, picking it up naturally as a first language rather than studying it. When you sign up as a speaker, you confirm, in good faith, that this is true of you.

If you are reported and found not to be a native English speaker, we will remove your account and refund any learners you have charged. We may also withhold any payouts connected to that activity. This keeps the marketplace honest for learners.

4. Your account

You must give accurate information and keep it up to date. You are responsible for activity on your account and for keeping your login secure. Keep to one account per person. Tell us straight away if you think someone else has accessed it.

5. How Nattive works

Nattive is a marketplace. Learners book and pay for conversation time; speakers provide that time and get paid. Speakers are independent — they are not employees, agents or partners of Nattive, and we do not supervise or control how a conversation goes beyond enforcing these terms and our Community Guidelines. We don’t guarantee that any learner or speaker will be available, or that any conversation will meet your expectations.

6. Bookings, payments and fees

Conversations are charged per minute at the speaker’s listed rate, plus any platform fee shown to you before you confirm. Payments are processed by our payment provider, Stripe; by paying, you also agree to Stripe’s terms. We authorise the payment when you book and capture it after the conversation, based on the time used. The fees that apply to a booking are fixed at the time you book.

7. Cancellations, refunds and disputes

If a conversation doesn’t take place, or ends early through no fault of your own, we’ll work out the correct charge or refund based on the time actually used. If something goes wrong, contact us at privacy@nattive.app and we’ll look into it. We may issue refunds at our discretion where a session clearly fell short of these terms.

8. Getting paid (speakers)

To receive payouts you connect a payout account through Stripe. Stripe runs identity and bank verification (KYC). You can connect straight away, or earn first and add your details later — in which case payouts are held until you do. You’re responsible for any tax you owe on what you earn.

You must be at least 18 to receive payouts in your own name, because Stripe (our banking partner) cannot pay out to under-18s. If you are under 18, a parent or legal guardian aged 18 or over must register and hold the payout account on your behalf, agree to Stripe’s terms and ours, and take responsibility for it. Giving an incorrect or dishonest date of birth will fail Stripe’s checks and stop us paying out, including earnings built up beforehand.

9. Your profile and content

You keep ownership of your profile photo and content. You grant us a licence to display them as part of running Nattive. Your profile photo may be shown on the public, logged-out marketplace so learners can see who’s available. No other personal information about you is shown publicly without your action. Don’t upload anything you don’t have the right to use, or anything that breaks our Community Guidelines.

10. How you must behave

Our Community Guidelines form part of these terms. You must follow them. They cover respectful conduct, appropriate behaviour on calls, and what is not allowed. Serious or repeated breaches can lead to suspension or removal.

11. Suspension and ending your account

You can delete your account at any time in your settings. We may suspend, restrict or permanently remove any account at our discretion — including, but not limited to, breaches of these terms or our Community Guidelines, suspected fraud, or conduct that puts other people at risk. Where the breach is serious, we may withhold payouts connected to it. Some obligations (like payment for time already used) continue after an account ends.

12. Off-platform activity

Nattive’s payments, protections and standards only work when bookings happen on Nattive. Don’t arrange or take Nattive-introduced conversations off the platform, and don’t share contact details to get around it.

13. Intellectual property

Nattive’s name, branding, site and software belong to us. You may not copy, resell or misuse them.

14. Disclaimers and liability

Nattive is provided “as is”. To the extent the law allows, we’re not liable for indirect or unforeseeable losses, or for the conduct of any learner or speaker. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can’t be limited by law. Our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the fees you paid or earned through Nattive in the three months before the claim.

15. Privacy

We handle your personal data as described in our Privacy Policy. Any questions about your data, email privacy@nattive.app.

16. Changes

We may update these terms. If we make a material change, we’ll let you know and, where appropriate, ask you to agree again. Continuing to use Nattive after a change means you accept it.

17. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and disputes fall to the courts of England and Wales.
